Hub and spoke
The hub and spoke model is quite simple. A lot of organizations that have multiple remote offices or branch offices use this type of topology. The headquarters location would contain all the main servers and network resources; this is known as the hub. The branch offices usually have a small number of employees versus the amount at the head office location. The branch offices would need to access the network resource at the hub—this makes each branch office a spoke, and each spoke is connected to the hub.
