Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP)

TFTP, which is defined by RFC 1350, is a simple network protocol that is used to transfer files between a client device and a Trival FTP server. TFTP operates on port 69 and does not require user authentication on the TFTP server. This makes it easy for network administrators and engineers to simply back up and restore network appliance's configurations.

There is a lot of free TFTP server software available out there on the internet, one of which I would like to recommend is SolarWinds TFTP server ( www.solarwinds.com).
