(五)左单鞭
身体稍右转,右腿弓膝塌劲,左腿也弓膝塌劲,步型不变。同时右手顺缠,屈肘向内收转至右胯前,掌心向上,掌指斜向前;左手逆缠,沿右手上侧向前转出,掌心向下,掌指斜向右前方。眼法不变。(图29)

身体稍左转,步型不变,仍保持左后虚步。同时左手变顺缠,掌心翻向上,掌指斜向右前上方;右手变逆缠,随之捏成勾手,勾尖向下,向前经左掌心上侧向右前上方转出,腕同肩高,臂微屈,手型不变;接着左手向内收转至腹前,掌心向上,掌指向右;眼看左前方。(图30、31)

身体继续左转,右腿弓膝塌劲,身体重心移至右腿,随之左腿屈膝提起,脚尖自然下垂;接着左脚跟内侧着地,向左前方擦出,脚尖翘起,脚跟着地,成仆步,手型不变。眼看左前方。(图32、33)

身体仍左转,左脚尖落地塌实,随之屈膝前弓,成左弓步,右腿微屈。同时身体向左平移,左肘随身体向前打出。(图34)

身体变为右转,右腿弓膝塌劲,步型变成右弓步;右勾手仍在原处,左手随身体右转的同时向右前上方托转至右肩前,掌心向上,掌指向右。眼看右前方。(图35)

身体变为左转,左腿弓膝塌劲,重心移向左腿,成左弓步;同时左手逆缠,在左胸前向内划一小弧,掌心翻向外,随身体左转向左前方划弧平云,转至左侧前方;接着身体稍右转,左腿弓膝塌劲,右腿也弓膝成左侧偏马步;右勾手不动,随之两肘向下松沉,左手塌腕立掌,掌心斜向前,掌指向上。眼看左前方。(图36、37)

【要点】左脚擦出,随之向前弓膝,同时左肘向前打出,重心向右回转时,左手上托至右肩前,接着向内划一小弧,再向左拉掌转至左侧前方,臂要展平,与肩同高。随身体右转的同时,左手塌腕立掌,左腿弓膝成左偏马步。
